One of my friends had told me to stay in this resort. According to me, he was cent percent reight. Those seven days living there were like the most memorable event that occurred in my life. When I landed in Mauritius from Bangalore airport which took me around 6:00 hours I check-in at Heritage Le Telfair Golf and Wellness Resort, a resort on the south of the island. It is not as normal as other resorts. At the time of check-in, there were almost 500 people gathered to celebrate the renovation of the entrance which took three months to complete. Unimaginable artists, wonderful symbolism, lighting, soundscapes, and gourmet nourishment consolidated to make a night none of us would overlook in a rush. I began to think about whether they tossed indulgent parties like this every night!

By day two, it was nothing new, and throughout the following week I found time for myself time to appreciate the luxurious swimming pools, relaxing on the seashore and discovering the great grounds, partaking in physical exercise, yoga during sunset, a golf inception, paddleboarding in the beaches, a cooking class and eating at basically the majority of the hotel's eateries. Thus, regardless of whether you're searching for a trip to a place that seems to be like heaven and can't choose where to fly off, then Heritage Le Telfair resort could be the best choice for you.

This inn offers 5-star satisfaction in a stunning environment. The south is viewed as the wilder, increasingly confined and authentic part of the island. While for me, this was a major selling point, some may lean toward being closer to the main towns and closer to the activity. With its very own stretch of white sandy seashore protected by a reef, two huge pools (one of them warmed which is perfect for visits in cooler months) a few cafés, a fresh out of the plastic new wellbeing focus, various water activities, gym, and an 18-hole championship golf course. It's ideal whether you need to unwind or keep yourself active and fresh. Its sister property, Heritage Awali, is nearby and gives additional alternatives to hotels and restaurants, including an incredible Indian café and Coco Shack – an adorable seashore cottage selling fresh coconuts and mixed drinks. As far as area is concerned, you're a short drive from a couple of the island's characteristic miracles – the Seven Colored Earths, Black River Gorges National Park and Chamarel Waterfall.

Heritage Le Telfair Wellness Resort: Style and Decor

The Awali has been structured in an African theme but the same is not applied to he Le Telfair resort. It is designed in a nineteenth-century estate houses. There's the great carport with palm trees covering the path to the huge, chic hall. White and dark villas sit on a few interlinking lanes over the property, with palm trees, colorful blooms, and a beautiful banyan tree. You will have a VIP person feeling when you walk through the path. There is a bridge crossing the river same as the bridge in which you see fairytale books. The Staff has been provided the rich beige and white outfits. You will also see The Cavendish Bar which consists of a snooker room, library region and terrific piano section in it. The rooms are also painted with pale colors and neutral fabrics along with beautiful paintings with imported tiles all over in the room.

Heritage Le Telfair Wellness Resort: Activities

Those who are reading this post for them I would like to tell that I am a restless traveler and like to travel from one place to another. I seldom sit for more than a couple of minutes. If you ask why? then I could be speechless as I only don't know the reason behind it. You can assume it because of impatience, adventure or because of the fear of missing something. But I should thank Heritage Le Telfair for perfectly sorting the scheduled time to time. If you have gone to Mauritius for resting or relaxing purpose then you enjoy the seashore or spending your time poolside. But for the people like me, the resort offers pilates, sailing, yoga, a glass-bottom boat trip, practicing or enjoying golf in the championship golf course, hiking in the hotel's nearby nature reserve. You can invest your energy playing tennis, badminton, in the gym or in any event, painting on the open-air canvases.

For an additional cost, you could take off on a journey by electric bike, go quad biking or figure out how to kitesurf. I adored how much assortment there was, and was rarely exhausted!

Features from my week incorporated the Mauritian cooking class, stand up paddleboarding and the glass base boat trip – alongside tropical fish, we even spotted turtles! If you are a foodie then this resort is perfect for you. The nourishment… gracious the nourishment! It was such a colossal piece of my stay and I was always astonished and impressed by seeing the variety in their menu list and also the quality and quantity of food. There were different types of food for people with different tastes and likes. From dim sum and satay at Gin'ja and famous Mauritian wine at  Le Chateau De Bel Ombre to Mauritian curries over the hotel, there was something for everybody.

My preferred eating knowledge was at nineteenth Century Le Château de Bel Ombre – which was one the resort's main focuses in the recent patch up.  his historic building is a fortune trove that is filled with antique and beautiful furniture and elaborate framings. There is classy looking wooden wine basement inside, a classic looking staircase and it is set within flawlessly manicured French nurseries. The menu of Le Chateau's menu is interesting, traditional Mauritian cuisine to new heights. Prawns were presented with an energizing gazpacho soup – fresh, reviving and light. Meanwhile, the lamb hanged on a rack had a delicious deep flour differentiating itself from pea puree and a fascinating curry leaf crumb. It is a gourmet experience ensured to intrigue foodies visiting Mauritius!

Asian nourishment at Gin'Ja Legacy Le Telfair Mauritius

Mauritian cooking has impacts from Indian and Chinese nourishment. Gin'Ja serves Pan-Asian food minutes from the seashore. My Asian carving was fulfilled (to say the least!) by the scope of diminishing tempura, satay, sushi and sautés. 

In the meantime, Zafarani (at Heritage Awali) has some expertise in contemporary Indian cooking, with my proposal being the chicken thali, which accompanied margarine chicken, cumin-spiced potatoes, Tarka dahl, murmur paneer, and nan bread.
My top lunch spots included Le Palmier and C Beach Club, beachfront cafés serving barbecues, plates of mixed greens and sandwiches in an easygoing setting.

In the wake of tucking into an incredible buffet breakfast at Annabellas every morning, it was dazzling to return for dinner on our last night. The fish tuna tataki with tempura vegetables and a wasabi dressing was one of my favorites of the week.

As it is obvious that one must try different food in different resorts as you are on a trip. So nearby there are many hotels where you can taste the Mauritian cusine food every day at lunch or dinner. For me, it is very important on a trip as you should no feel bored with the regular schedule of eating food in one place. Staying in Heritage Le Telfair will help you in tasting the food of different hotels, cafes, and restaurants as all are from walking distance from the resort.

With its rich style, devoted head servants appointed at check-in, beachside area, full of water activities and gourmet food contributions, and so Heritage Le Telfair is one of the best 5-star hotels of Mauritius. but difficult to perceive any reason why Heritage Le Telfair is one of the best 5-star inns in Mauritius. With my restless and impatience nature, and enthusiasm to take a stab at everything, it truly worked for me! Did I get exhausted? Nope, not once. Did I unwind? Truly, 100%. Did I eat too much? Hmm, obvious. This kind of trip not planned every month or year. So try everything which is new to you. And while doing soo if you have to eat more then you eat normally then it's ok.
